Here’s the perfect handmade gift for whisky drinkers. This gift set comes in a high quality lidded box tied with a ribbon and comprises of a whisky glass and water jug which are hand-blown from recycled lead crystal, this set is a great gift for those who appreciate both fine whisky and the beauty of handmade glass.
Being lead crystal, they have a good weight and clarity. The glass sits in the hand beautifully, and is wider at the bottom so it’s shape and clear colour is perfect for swirling the whisky around and appreciating its movement and colour. The water pourer is gently squeezed in whilst the glass is semi-molten so it’s really tactile to hold, and pours beautifully. Each piece has been free-blown so is totally unique - no two will be the same.
Glass height approx 8cm. All my work is free-blown so sizes and shapes do vary.
Each one features and has a melted ‘pontil’ mark on the base and is stamped with my maker’s mark; a letter R for Raven underneath. Your glass might have a small bubble or tool mark, which is a true characteristic of hand made studio glass.
